Editorial Policy

How we create, review, and improve LyricDive articles.

Originality

LyricDive articles are intended to provide original analysis and explanation. We do not publish scraped lyric pages, lightly rewritten copies of other articles, or automatically generated pages without editorial review.

Sources

When an article relies on factual claims about an artist, release, interview, historical event, or cultural reference, we prefer primary or reputable sources. Interpretation is clearly separated from factual reporting.

AI-assisted drafting

AI tools may be used to brainstorm structure, identify questions worth investigating, or improve clarity. They are not treated as authoritative sources. A human editor is expected to review claims, remove unsupported statements, and add original judgment before publication.

Lyrics and quotation

We do not publish full copyrighted song lyrics as a substitute for licensed lyric services. Quoted portions should be limited and tied directly to commentary, criticism, or explanation.

Corrections

If we discover a material factual error, we correct the article. Readers can report issues through our contact page.
